This month, Lexi wants to know everything about Siddur Davar Hadash! Recently published by brin solomon (it/its), Siddur Davar Hadash is “an attempt to imagine what a fully inclusive, de-stigmatized Jewish liturgy might look like.” This Ashkenazi siddur provides a new text for the full Shabbat and festival services, featuring nonbinary Hebrew grammar for God and people as well as replacement of sexist, ableist, and otherwise alienating language. In honor of the completion of this 800+ page project, Lexi is interviewing brin about its process and the kind of Judaism it wants to bring to the world.
