The psalms sing--they sing of wild nature, the pursuit of justice, of our all too human lives. Psalms are here as prayers, as magic spells, as vessels for our hearts. Join the Torah Studio teacher Lexi Kohanski (she/her) as we journey into the emotional poetry of the Book of Psalms.
Each week we'll learn one psalm in chevruta (pairs), then play with it as a tool to get in touch with our feelings. We'll discover together if, over 2000 years later, Psalms can still make our hearts sing.
Lexi (she/her) fell in love with Torah, her soul, and the world all at the same time. And she wants to spread the love around! She runs the Youtube channel T4Torah, a living document of trans Jews reclaiming our texts and our traditions, and looking good doing it. Lexi also offers private lessons in a variety of Jewish skills. She teaches the Psalms every Monday at the Torah Studio.
